Jacques L'Écuyer
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. L’Écuyer is one of 5N Plus founders and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a director since the Company’s inception in June 2000. Mr. L’Écuyer previously acted as the pure metals and compounds Business Unit Manager within Noranda Inc. Mr. L’Écuyer holds BS and MS degrees in metallurgical engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal and a PhD in materials science from the University of Birmingham in England.
Frank Fache
Executive Vice President – Strategic Supply
Mr. Fache is based in Hong Kong and he is responsible for the Company’s strategic metal sourcing. Mr. Fache joined our Board of Directors in April 2011, subsequent to the closing of the acquisition of MCP Group SA. Mr. Fache is the former Co-Chief Executive Officer of MCP Group SA. He was, prior to his role in MCP, the Chief Executive Officer of Ferromin. Mr. Fache has over 25 years of experience in the industry and he holds an applied economics degree from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium.
Laurent Raskin
Executive Vice President - Business Development
Mr. Raskin is based in Belgium and he is responsible for our company’s business development. Mr. Raskin will join our Board of Directors at our next annual meeting of shareholders. Mr. Raskin is the former Co-Chief Executive Officer of MCP Group SA and previously acted as the Chief Executive Officer of Sidech. Mr. Raskin has over 15 years of experience in the industry and he holds a master degree in business engineering from Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium.
David Langlois
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Langlois has over 20 years experience from the banking, financial and auditing sectors. Prior to joining 5N Plus in November 2009, Mr. Langlois was the Vice President of Corporate Accounting and Information Management at National Bank Financial, one of the top investment dealers in Canada. Mr. Langlois is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree from the Université du Québec in Montréal.
Nicholas Audet
Vice President Business Unit - Electronic Materials
Mr. Audet joined 5N Plus in 2003 as Manager of Research and Development and he was then promoted to Vice President. He now serves as Vice President Business Unit, Electronic Materials. Previously, Mr. Audet acted as a lead engineer for EMS Technologies Inc. a leader in the development and supply of advanced products and systems for space and terrestrial applications. Mr. Audet holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the Université Laval in Québec City as well a M.Eng. degree from the University of Victoria in British Columbia.
Jean Bernier
Vice President – Human Resources
Mr. Bernier joined 5N Plus in 2007 as General Manager of the Montréal head office and our German subsidiary 5N PV and was recently promoted to Vice President, Human Resources. During his more than 20 years experience Mr. Bernier held management positions at a number of corporations including ABB and Tioxide Americas, a division of ICI Chemicals. Mr. Bernier holds a BS degree in mechanical engineering from the Université Laval in Québec City.
Marc Binet
Vice President – Secondary Materials
Mr. Binet is based in Belgium and has over 20 years of experience in the metal recycling industry. He joined Sidech in 2003 as Managing Director and was responsible for the development of the recycling activities. He was subsequently promoted in 2008 as Director of Recycling MCP Group SA. Mr. Binet started his career as a Production Engineer for Jean Goldschmidt International and was subsequently appointed Trader. Mr. Binet holds a civil engineer degree in metallurgy and materials, an environmental engineer degree from the Université de Liège in Belgium and a MBA from Solvay Business School.
Marc Suys
Vice President – Corporate Affairs
Mr. Suys is one of 5N Plus founders and has occupied various functions since the Company’s inception, including Environment, Health and Safety Manager and Vice President, Sustainable Development and Environmental Affairs. He was recently promoted to Vice President, Corporate Affairs. Mr. Suys holds BS and MS degrees in engineering physics from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
Sebastian Voigt
Vice President Business Unit - Eco-Friendly Materials
Mr. Voigt is based in Germany and has over 30 years of experience in chemical products sales and management across Europe. Mr. Voigt joined MCP Group in 1996 as Sales Director and was promoted in 2008 to Managing Director of MCP HEK in Germany. Mr. Voigt previously acted as Product Manager/Trader for Helm AG one of the world's major independent chemicals marketing enterprises for nearly a decade. Mr. Voigt is a graduate of the European Business School.
